Ryan is an indie filmmaker from Doylestown, Pennsylvania. His doc and narrative shorts have screened at numerous festivals across the country. He is a Fulbright Scholar, Imagining America Fellow, Student Academy Award Nominee, and film instructor.

Ryan has worked in production for shows that have aired on Netflix, NBC, TLC, Fuse Media, and was the chief video editor for the 2020 Joe Sestak Presidential Campaign. He shoots content for the Autry Museum's Theatre Company, Native Voices. He received his BA from Occidental College, MA in Film & Media Studies from the University of Otago, and MFA in producing from Boston University.
